Jackson 3rd Birthday

Jackson was so excited for his birthday. He thought everyday for the month prior was his birthdayand would tell us frequently he was turned 'free'! Isn't it just so fun the simple things that bring so much to these little ones!! We had a great day and went ot the train museum in town and just played and had fun all day. Sydney and Layton were both out of school that day so that made it fun for him to have his best playmates all day!!
Jackson is such a fun guy to have around. I love the things he comes up with to say and his spunky personality. He loves his brother and sisters and gives them all lots of kisses and loves, even if he has to tackle them to the ground to do so. He is my partner in everyhting I do and is the best at helping me with my household chores, especially if it means he gets to dump the soap in the laundry or dishwasher! We have had quite an eventful year which I'm sure has left him feeling neglected at times,hopefully he isn't scarred for life. We sure love this guy and love the excitement and fun he brings to our home!









This is our hut we made conference weekend. The kids had a blast decorating the inside of thier "house". they has pictures they colored and hung on the walls, along with beads and toys, and whateevr else they could find.

1 year old!!!

It blows my mind that 1 year has already past since my sweet babies girls were born but it has come and gone. They turned 1 on March 5 and I have been meaning to write down my thoughts for a while but there are just not enought hours in the day!!! Their birthday was fun, although Miss Maddy Moo wasn't feeling too well. So she didn't even want to touch her cake, Kinsley however as you can see was in heaven!!! We have never had any of our kids go after their cake like Kins. It was so fun to watch!!! We just wish Maddy could have enjoyed it as much too!! They just had their 1 year check ups and here are their stats:
Kinsley weighs 21 lb 13 oz,and is 29 3/4 in. tall and Maddy weighs 21 lb 8oz, and is 29 3/4 in. tall. I thought it was cool that they are the exact same height and pretty close in weight. It is been so fun to watch them grow together, and see the how they interact together. Just a couple days ago we were on a walk and they would lean over to each other in their stroller and rest their head on the other or give a kiss.
Maddy still has 4 teeth on top and 4 on bottom, Kinsely still only has 3 on top and 3 on bottom. they are really interested in walking but aren't quite there yet, I think we may still be a while to their mothers dismay I am still gonna have to keep packing them around, but at least it's a good workout. They have learned to climb the stairs to Syd's room and love to play up there! Lucky for them they have a sweet sister who loves them to be in her room.The best is that the tubes in their ears seem to be working and I think we are finally over ear infections. Well I'm crossing my fingers, we have offically gone a full month now without them. Poor little things we just hope that trend continues. We love our girls nad are so happy we were blessed with the two of them!!

Busy, busy

This past month has been crazy busy so I have been a slacker when it comes to blogging lately. Our baby twins are getting to be even more busy. They definately are double trouble when it comes to getting into mischief. They follow each other around empty cupboards or whatever else they can get their little hands on. They are great mess makers but they are so much fun. They both love to cuddle and give us loves. Especially Madison, she loves anything soft and she will lay her head against and cuddle it. Kinsley loves to be held, well Madison does too but Kinsley seem to come find me more and hang on to my leg so I will pick her up, and quite often Madison is right behind her and is hanging on to the other leg. They sure love to wacth each other and be together and lately their new thing is to give each other loves and kisses. I can't think of anything that melts my heart more than to see that. They both now can say "uh-oh", "mama", and "dat"(that), Madison has 4 teeth on bottom and 4 on top, Kinsley has her 4th coming in on bottom and 3 on top I haven't seen her 4th poke through yet. Depsite them both getting tubes in their ears in January we are still struggling with ear infections and lots of yucky goop draining out of their ears. Syndey had this problem too, it seemed like by the time she was 2- 2 1/2 it got better. I hope it does not take that long. I tried to bath thme at the same time. Not a good odea they are too busy and wiggly it was hard and made me nervous. I wonder when I can start bathing them at the same time. That would be nice. I think we will have to wait a couple months more though. They wave hello and bye-bye. Madison was really into this at church this past Sunday and waved at almost eveyone she saw, especially other babies, I wonder if that's because they will wave to each other at home. Oh and speaking of church it is EXAUSTING, really I don't know who keeps us busier the 2 baby girls or the 2 boys. They will pull themsleves up and walk along things while hoding on or walk with their little walker toy, but haven't stood on their own yet. They LOVE playing peeakboo and patty cake and will bounce and dance when they hear music. They are great eaters which I guess would be obvious looking at them and all their baby rolls, which I adore!! I love these two girls. I feel incredibly blessed to have them.
Jackson has gotten so big he is officially potty trained Yeah!! and likes to do everything by himself. Including wipe his own bum, yeah I know you all wanted to hear about that, but it makes me excited. I love that he likes to do things himself but sometimes when I am in a hurry it can try my patience. Speaking of trying my patience he is king of that. He has such spunk in his personality which we love and get a kick out of most of the time. Other times I wonder what to do with him. I love though how he likes to be right by my side in eveything I am doing and help. Whether it's changing diapers, doing dishes, laundry or whatever he is a great helper. He also loves to open doors for me. What a gentleman! Last night we were all getting in the car he went to get in and then ran around to my side and opened my door for me and then ran back around and climbed back into his chair. I love my little Jack.
Layton is pretty close to opposite of Jackson. He would be so happy if I would do everything for him. Too bad his mom is not that nice. He is a goof ball at our house and I often wonder where he comes up with some of the things he says! I think I hear him shout "Cannon Ball!!!" 25 times a day. I have no idea wher that came from but he has yelling it since summer. He has even gotten some of the other biys at school to yell it too. I'm sure their parents wonder why on earth they are shouting that. He is such good boy and I am amazed at his patience and love with all his siblings. I think he is alot like his Dad. I love my Layton and all the good laughs he brings to our home.
Sydney is the 2nd mom around here. I really don't know what I would do without her. She is so sweet with her baby sisters and take such good care of them. She loves to hold them and play with them and feed her girls. She is so good with her brothers too. She quite often has an activity planned for them to do, and keeps them pretty well entertained. She is so smart and in January got selected from her class to particapet in a school spelling bee. She did so well, despite her nerves. I was so proud of my brave little girl.
Tyler and I have been busy getting our house ready to sell. Keeping the house clean is a challenge, so hopefully it sells fast. We are trying to sell it ourselves through a military website for selling homes. We have one person interested right now, and hope that works out. Free Zoo Day

Monday was my birthday. It was such a nice day. Mostly because the kids were so excited about it being my birthday. On Sunday Jackson kept trying to take me to look at my presents he and Ty got at the store the night before. He was pretty determined I should see what I was getting the next day. Sydney made little signs and colored pictures of balloons. She woke Tyler up early on Monday morning and told him they had to decorate the house before I woke up. She is such a sweetheart. So I woke up to see little sayings and pictures of balloons taped to the walls, She also taped a sign on a chair at the table for me that said" birthday girl!" I got such a kick out of it. What a thoughtful girl! Tyler and the kids made me a special birthday breakfast and yummy ice cream birthday cake.
Then we went to the zoo, Ty and the kids were off for the holiday and it was 65 degrees, so we went down to the Zoo it was fun to get out an enjoy some nice weather and walk around a bit. I really don't get out as much as I use to, and I really enjoyed just walking around, and it was fun to see the kids get out and enjoy it too. Even Kins and Maddy seemed to enjoy getting out in the fresh air.

They loved watching these black bears. They would walk right up next the glass, it was funny to watch the kids flinch a little when the bear came right up next to them.

Christmas Time Fun!

November Catch up

I had to post some random pictures we had from November so I can blog about our December fun.
some of the fun things we did and learned in November include:
* Kinsley and Maddy moo learned to pull themselves up to stand. They love being so big!! Mom still thinks they are growing too fast
* Had a fun Thanksgiving dinner in our home with our good friends the Shallenbergers and Torgersens. It was a beautiful day outside so all the kids spent most all their time jumping on the tramp, and Thanks to Natalie planning a play of the first thanksgiving including making costumes out of paper sacks. I could just kick myself for not taking a picture of them.
* Got 2nd round of H1N1 shots which meant waiting in a crowded room with all 5 kids. Lucky for us we seem to always find some sweet "grandma and grandpa" or two that have pity on us. Thanks to them we made it through okay. One of the older ladys was trying to talk to Jack and he would have nothing to do with her. SO she asked if he was onery. He said "I not onery I Jackson."
* Hung up Christmas lights a first for us! The kids loved it!
*Had our first experience finding kids hiding in the closet cutting hair, luckily it was only the horses hair, We really got a kick out of this!
* The twins discover their new favorite thing, The dishwasher! They can hear me doing dishes anywhere and come quickly to help me "unload".
* I discovered that 2 babies can unload one dishwasher faster than 1 mom can load it.
*We've been growing lots of teeth around here. Sydney's 1st permanent is popping through, Madsion now has 5 teeth! 2 on top 3 on bottom. Kinsley has 4! 2 on on top 2 on bottom.
