Fun in Florida!

Florida was so much fun. We stayed with Mark and McKel in their beach house which was so nice. That had a pool out back to swim in, although while we were there the heater stopped working but we still had fun in it. In the back they have a pond with tons and tons of turtles in it. The kids really enjoyed going out and feeding the turtles. Their house was just a sort walk to the beach, so we enjoyed going down there. However we didn't try surfing like we would have liked, but Tyler and I tried boogie boarding for the first time. It was so much fun. The waves were pretty big so it was hard to get out and really ride the wave back in. The waves kept pushing us back in. But I just loved swimming out in the ocean, I think I could have done it all day! The kids loved playiing in the sand and finding sea shells. On Wednesday morning Jason and Andrea took us out to a beach where near by is a breeding ground for hammerhead sharks, I know sounds interesting. Anyway it is a good place to search for shark teeth. We each found one shark tooth and Tyler found two. Syndey found a star fish. She was so excited. Although, Sydney's starfishes arms fell off when she was trying to flap it's wings. It was really hard not to laugh when she told me sadly how her star fish broke.
Then Tyler and I went on a ghost tour of St. Augustine. (Tina I know your jealous). Before we went I was not aware that St. Augsustine is the nations oldest city. It is where Ponce De Leon landed and found the Fountain of Youth. Jason and Andrea were so kind to watch the kids so Tyler and I could go. However I forgot our camera, so sorry I was unable to capture all the ghosts we saw on camera. j/k! I actually like the tour McKel gave as we walked aorund old town St. Augustine alot better but it was fun to have a night out with Tyler.
And of course we had to go to DisneyWorld! I was really debating whether or not to go because it is so expensive, but I glad we did it was so much fun. Jason and Andrea came with us and I 'm sure they think I am an absolute nut now. I was pretty energetic about everything and I'm sure I wore them out trying to go on every possible ride and maximize our time there and get my money's worth. They were great sports though! My favorite things were taking Sydney to meet the princess, which she loved;Peter pan ride (Layton loves Peter pan and it's a good thing we liked that ride because the line was so so long) Monsters Inc laugh floor hilarious. It is an interactive animation. So they will spotlight people from the audience and talk with them. And of course the spotlighted Tyler with Sydney and Layton on his lap. They called him the 3-headed human. That was fun. On the way out the kids and I played on a couple of things they had on main street. Which was super fun too. It was so much fun to see the kids have fun. I wanted so badly to stay for the night parade and fireworks and still wish we would have stayed, but we had to head back to get ready to drive home the next day.
We had so much fun in Florida it was hard to leave.

One Year Old!!

Yesterday was Jacksons birthday. I am still in amazement
that a year has gone by. I really think with each kid it has gone
faster, which makes me sad. But it is so much fun to watch him learn
and grow. He is my very fun and very busy little guy. He is always into something, and so
curious and I love that about him!! Even though he's harder to keep up with, I love his curiosity
and energy for life. I love that he likes to cuddle, although it's for
only small amounts at a time because that would of course require him
to hold still. I love that each morning he wants to climb on his
brother and sister and give them loves, and is so so excited when Dad
comes home from work. Everyday as soon as he sees Tyler he immediately darts for him. I love it!! I love my little Jack and the joy he brings to our family!!

Going to Florida!!

Okay so I can't help it I have to blog this because I am so excited!! Tyler has two brothers that are going to school in St. Augustine, FL so we are gong out to visit them. One of them is living in a 4 bedroom beach house, they got a great deal from a member of their ward, so we couldn't resist. We are so excited to get into some warm weather and play on the beach. Which is something we've really missed since moving from Oregon, but hopefully in this water we will be able to stand getting in past our ankles. Tyler and his brothers are going to attempt to surf, and you know that means I'm going to have to too!! I'll have to let you know how that goes!!
Tha only down side is that we are driving, Flights for 4 are just too much plus a car rental for a week, but I'm wondering with gas prices so high. It will take 2 days travel both directions, but I think it will be worth it!!

Playing in the Bathroom

I heard Jackson playing in the bathroom, AGAIN!! This happens alot, and it just bewilders me why a bathroom would be so exciting. But it seems to be Jack's favorite room. I was just hoping the kids remember to close the toilet lid and just expected to find an empty toilet paper roll with the toilet paper all over the floor. anyway I walked in the bathroom and this is what I found.
He must have been trying to catch his balloon and followed all the way into the bathtub. He was so happy to be in the tub!! I thought he loved taking a bath because of the water, maybe it's just the tub!

A visit to the eye doc

Yesterday Tyler called and had opening in the afternoon, which really doesn't happen and wanted to know if we wanted to come in. It was so fun to see Tyler at work. Layton thought that it was the coolest thing in the world and Tyler loved it as well. It was fun because since Optometry school, when we were his pratice patients, we really haven't seen Tyler at work. It was fun
