Last night Layton said our prayer for dinner it was so darn cute I just had to blog it. So here was his prayer:
"thank you we can go to bed, thank you for my mom's belly, thank you for my sisters in my mom's belly, thank you we can go potty, thank you we can go to bed."
I thought it was so cute, and funny. I never knew Layton was so thankful to go to bed. What a guy!
Since I am talking about being thankful! I have to mention how grateful I am for my hubby!! He is seriously the best. This past Sunday was my birthday. He told Sydney that it was a day for mom not to do any work. So if I went to do anything Sydney would say, "Mom, your not supposed to do that your the birthday girl. Dad can do that."
Then Ty made his terryaki chicken sandwiches that I love!! Seriously so good!! And a yummy chocolate marble cheesecake. And to top it off he is sending me home to Utah this weekend all by MYSELF! Which I am so excited to see all my fam. My awesome, thoughtful, wonderful sisters and mom are throwing me a baby shower while I am there. Am I spoiled or what?!

Christmas
So I'm finally getting my Christmas post done. It was so much fun this year. Sydney was especially excited and was very concerned about going to bed on time so Santa would come. She actually wanted to go to bed and we told her after we read and played out the Christmas story. she was so worried we were going to take to long.
Needless to say it was so fun to see her and Layton's reactions when they woke up.
Syd and Layton both worked on building a present for each other with Tyler. They built a tool box for Layton and an easel with a whiteboard and chalkboard for Syd. They were both so excited to give each other what they had worked on. Jackson woke up first but didn't notice all those presents under the tree. But he did notice all the treats in his stocking and would bring us a treat and say "open it". He defnately is his mothers son and loves his chocolate. And although we really missed our families, it was also fun to be home and not worry about the stress of traveling for the holidays.

A few days after Christmas my parents and brother Charlie and Spencer came for a visit. We LOVED!! having them and the kids really loved being with their uncles and Grandma and Grandpa. Even Jackson was won over by Grandpa, which was a feat in itself. Jack woke up to them on Sunday morning and wondered who these people were and by the time we got to church all he wanted was "pompa". Which is another nice thing about getting visits from family here. The kids just seem to bond with them better when they are in their own element. Although there really isn't tons to do here, I loved having them and hope they didn't get too bored. So of course I cried when they left. It was so neat to watch the kiddos so happy spending time with them and really bonding with them, so it just broke my heart when it was time for them to go.

And we fianlly got all our leaves raked up. We enjoyed the nice weather and the kids got to enjoy a huge pile of leaves.
