Oklahoma Excitment!!

On Saturday night our little town of Enid was hit by a tornado. The tornado hit just a mile northeast of us. It was pretty scary when we heard the sirens go off, and then turned to the TV on and could see the storm right over us. So we put the baby girls in ther car seats and carried the other three and squeezed into out little bathroom. My heart was pounding, and kept praying to keep my precious little ones safe.
Tyler and I have both talked about how exciting it would be to see a tornado, but when I was thinking about my kiddos safety it didn't sound so exciting anymore.

Luckily the tornado was only an F1, and there were only a few people injured.
We drove around and I tired to take some picture but alot of the areas where there alot of the damage were blocked off by police. there were alot of power poles and lines down there were working on. I felt kind of guilty driving by and taking pictures of people cleaning up and not getting out to help. I think it would have ben a great service opportunity, but with the baby girls and Jackson and Layton with 104 degree fevers stayed in the car.
There were a lot of trees, signs, and fences ripped down and and debri was scattered everywhere.

To top it off Jackson and Layton have pnemonia and Madison had an ear infection and her Kinsley both have stuffy noses. We spent most of yesterday at the clinic getting everyone looked over. Getting chest x-rays, and blood work done, and breathing treatments. Yuck!
I am just gratfeul Tyler works in the clinc so he could come over and help me with all the kids between patients. He really is the best! I don't know how I would do it without him!! We were pretty pathetic looking. Pushing the huge Limo stroller with the babies and carrying Layton and Jack around, they were so weak they could barely walk around. I'm sure we were a sight to see!
I am just hoping the girls don't get as bad as Laytona and Jack. The poor guys have been so sick for a week now. I hope they all get better soon!

Kinsley and Madison are 6 weeks!

It's always fun when Grandma comes!

Visit to the Train Museum in town

Dad giving wheel barrow rides, too bad I didn't get a pic of Grandma getting a wheelbarrow ride! ;)

Having fun making Easter Nests

My mom came to visit us a week ago. It was so nice to have her here. I feel so lucky that I got to have her here for a whole week! My mom is one busy lady so I very grateful she take the time to be with us. Not to menton having her here really lifted my spirits and rejuvenated me. You know after you have a baby or two, and you just need your mom. Even just to see her was so good!! I also loved sharing my sweet two little new additions with her. It was fun to have her here to adore them with me, and wonderful for Syndey Layton, and Jackson to spend time with their Grandma. Even though Jackson only wanted mom most the time.

Snow Day!

A little over a week ago we got close to 6 in. of snow here. Which we hve never seen here in the winter, let alone in Spring. Anyway we gathered what snow clothes we could find around the house and Tyler went out with the kids and played in the snow. They had a blast! Too bad it only lasted one day because the next day was lcose to 70 and it all melted.

4 weeks old

Kinsley

Madison

I cannot believe how fast these weeks have flown by. The babies are awake more and so obviously are wanting to be held more, but are doing well and are healthy. They are slowly growing into their newborn and 0-3 month size clothes but are still so little. some days I think they look alike, but we can still tell them apart pretty easily so I am questioning whether or not they are identical.

2 Years Old!!

It is hard to believe 2 years have already past since our Jack was born.
He is so much fun to have around and especially fun to watch playing with his big sister and brother. If you came to our house this is what you would expect to see and hear from our guy:

* You would hear him frequently say "what in the world!" or "Holy Cow"
* Watch him dunk the basketball in the hoop and say "boom shocka locka"
* Play duck, duck goose, or hide and go seek with Layton
* Get so excited when he hears the door open and close when Daddy comes home from work.
* Try and tackle Sydney and Layton while they are screaming "Stop Jackson!" you would think that a 6 and 4 year old could hold their own against a 2 year old, but Jackson dominates this house!
* Ask to watch Kung Fu Panda show. Watching this or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is proabably the only time you'll see our boy sit still.
* Count 1, 2, 4,7, 2, 4,7, 3, 7 and jump off the couch.
* Do somersaults and tricks with Sydney and Layton
* say "my babies" and give his baby sisters a kiss on the head
* See us coming with a tissue to wipe his ever running nose, sniff and say "there we go" in hopes to escape the wipe.
* tell us he wants to go on a bear hunt

Here is some of our birthday fun!

To end all our celebrations the kiddos camped out in the family room. They had so much fun!

There is a glare on the picture. Sydney wrote this on her white board and then told us to come read the sign. It says " no parints at the slep ovr." (translation: no parents at the sleep over). We thought it was so funny. We especially like the the mom dad with an X through it.

Highlights of our girls first week home!

I really feel this experience thus far has been incredible. Finding out we were expecting twin girls, watching my belly stretch until in Tyler's words it looked like it might explode, all the anitcipation, and nerves of what this might be like. then to have delivery and recovery go so smoothly. I feel so blessed!! I hope it continues. We were having family scripture study the other night and of course did not make it to the end of the chapter but ended on a beautiful scripture that just seemed to put into words what I am feeling. It's in Alma 26 vs. 11-12
"...but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
Yea I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things.."
I know I will need to be reminded of this when things get tough and I feel like I might go crazy.

Kinsley and Madison. (I usually put Kinsley on the left and Madison on the right, it helps me keep them straight especially in the middle of the night)

Wrestling with Grandma! We are so glad she has been here. We love Grandma!!

A game of pictionary on sunday night. Can you guess who it is!

These are my boys. What can I say, we have fun!!

I love this pic. They were laying in the exact same postion. No staging. I had to capture it!
