Here's to 3 years!!

Kinsley and Madison turning 3 really is a great reason to celebrate. They survived the terrible 2's and so did we!! Although recently I've been wondering if it's really the terible 3's. Maybe turning 4 will be reason to celbrate too. In all honesty, they do given me a run for my money, like when they our a gallon sized piture of ice and water on the kitchen floor to see what will happen, or flour, or cooa al over the floor or really anything that looks interesting, cut their hair, draw on walls or each other, chop up crayons and chalk, and spread the remains, the list can go on. But there equally if not greater moments of laughter, fun, and entertainment. Like when they watch out for each other, and always have a playmate that they love to be with, to explore with, to pretend with, the sweet greetings they give each other when one slept or napped longer than the other, the dancing and singing they do together, brings so much happiness to me. The challenges they give me and the patience they are teaching me are nothing compared to the joy!! I love these 2 monkeys!!

Good 20's, hello 30 January 2012

I have to admitt I am not at all excited about being 30. My 20's were good to me and 30 just seems old. I did however have a fabulous birthday. Tyler and I took Sydney and Layton up for their first time skiing. Wel Sydney and I skied, while Layton and Ty were snowboarding. We used our pass of all pases so all we had to pay for was the rentals. They both had fun. Layton wore out a little quicker adn was a little frustrated, with a sore bum. Sydney was really nervous at first, but then got the hang of things and did not want to leave that mountain. It was a wonderful birthday, mostly because it was so fun watching the kids learn something new and have so much fun, and I got to spend the day with my favorite guy!!

Our summer at Grandma's!! Part 1

We lived with my parents while looking for a house, everything fell through and we are now in a rental building a home. But thtere are many times I wish I was still living with my parents. I loved living there, and all my kiddos loved living there!! I felt so lucky to be near them after so much time away and treasured every minute of it. The only down side was Tyler had to drive an hour to work everyday which was no fun!!










We had lots and lots of fun with cousins, eye ball party for Dad's first day at his new job, we really just played and played!

Goodbye Oklahoma!

I have to admitt, I was maybe too excited to move back home to Utah, but for good reason we are close to family and are loving it!! But there are a few things I really miss..
1- My friends!! I love, love, love living by my fam, but I miss, miss, miss my great friends and my kiddos great friends!!!!
2- The Base pool Summer is now over but I really missed our trips to the base pool!! I loved going there all summer long when we were there.
3- Leonardo's!! I totally took this place forgranted! Especially in the cold winter months when we need to get out to play and explore!!! It was even better when we had the place to ourselves with a couple of good friends!!
4- Our ward! I miss some "great" comments in RS that provided a great laugh, the friendly faces, and sweet old ladies that told me everyweek they wished all their lives they had twins, meeting new people almost everyweek
5- My house, we are still in a rental and looking forward to our house being done, but for now I miss my house and going for walks on the paths in our backyard, soaking in my tub, and my master bath we worked so hard on that I loved!!
6- TYLERS TIME OFF!!!! It was so nice to have a week off at christams, all the holidays off and have him home @ 5 everyday!! Sometimes I wonder what we were thinking to get out of the AF.

April Fools 2010

So I thought it was about time I catch up on my blog. Hopefully we're all caught up by the New Year!!
Here is our April Fools Day Dinner! For dinner we had dessert-Shepherds pie with pink colored mashed potatoes on top. The munchkins were not happy with me, and after one bite of the surprise would not eat anymore, Drink- raspberry jello, they actually did suck some up throught the straw, Dessert- Worms and Dirt Syd and Layton loved this but Jackson refused to eat worms. I added this cute pic of Kinsley on her high chair eating Maddy's food. aren;t they cute!!

5 ! on 5 oh 5!

5 of my favorite things about my 5 year old boy!!
1- His tender heart. I love that Layton cares about others feelings. He is so thougthful!
2- He's a great big brother! Layton is so good to his 2 little sister and brother Jackson. Jackson follows in everywhere he goes and does whatever he is doing. Layton is so kind and patient with him. I love that they are such good friends.
3- Layton is so silly! Whether the things his says or his sweet dance moves and just fooling around, Layton always has a way to make us smile and laugh! He is so much fun!
4- His happy disposition! Layton is such a happy and content little boy and has been since day 1. He just goes about his day and finds things to do or help out with without a word being said. He is very independant and figures things out on his own. Sometimes I worry his siblings steal all the attnetion because he is always just happy and content.
5- He is a mini-Tyler. Layton is just like his dad in so many ways. He looks so much like his dad and acts so much like his Dad. I just feel lucky to be blessed to have him and to learn from him. I Love my Layton!

Layton has such a fun birthday and since he was turning 5 on 5/05 we had a to have a party of course! He requested we have a camping them birthday party so we made a campfire birthday cake, set up the tent in our back yard, and played a fishing game and planned on a bear hunt game but ran out of time. He had so mcuh fun running around and playing with his friends. I am glad he got to celebrate and play with his good friends from Oklahoma, especailly since we moved just a couple weeks later.
