Twin Catch Up

I have not been very good at keeping up with the blogging lately. I have tried writing this post but Kinsley is trying to help me type, so just enjoy the pics and hopefully I can fill in the details later.

I realized I didn't have any pics of me with my baby girls so Sydney took one for me. I am in my pajamas and look tired but I guess we should remember things as they are. If you notice int he pic Maddy (on the right) has a little smile on her face. She almost always is wearing this little smile of contentment. I love it! She especially does when she is looking something over or curiously watching something. I think she is just so happy to be learning and taking it all in.

Kinsley has just started climbing up on things and trying to stand up, mostly she stands up on her knees but sometimes she gets up to her feet. she is quite the climber and climbs on top of Maddy daily which Madison does not like at all. Can't say I blame her. However Maddy climbed on Kinsley tonight which she doesn't do very often and Kinsley couldn't have cared less. She was just happy as could be and evern kept trying to crawl around dragging Maddy with her.

Knsley again,she climbed under the crib while Syndey was getting ready for school, then all the kids thought it looked like fun under there and joined her.

This is how I handed out candy for the trunk or treat on Halloween. Tyler took the other kiddos around and I just laid the girls in the back of our van to play. They loved it and loved smiling for all the passers by. I had several requests to trade candy for my two little strawberrys.

Playing together, they really spend most of their time just playing on the floor together. Sometimes I feel like I am neglecting them because I feel like I don't hold them very much.


Kinsley checking out Maddy I love when they look at each other and smile. They do this quite often in the morning or when one wakes up after the other and the one awake is so excited to see her sister. It really is something special!

I really can't believe how fast these girls have grown at the 6 month check up Kins was 17lb7oz, Maddy was 17lb4oz, and they were both 26 1/2 inches long. Unfortnately we have been to the Dr. quite a bit over the past 2 months since then for ear infections, but they have gotten weighed alot which is fun to se how they've grown. They are now each 19lbs. That is alomst 40 lbs I pack around. I better start lifting weights.
Oh ya and they both have 1 tooth on the bottom opposite sides though. Maddy's grew in first and Kinsley was about 1 week behind. This past week Maddy grew in a top tooth too. I am just expeting Kinsley's to grow the top one on the opposite side this week. It will be interesting to see if it happens that way. I swear these girls are growing up faster than any of my other kiddos. It really isn't fair!

Laytons Soccer Game

On Saturday we watched Layton play in his first socer game. It was a blast to watch. He was so happy to be running on the field. He did awesome he scored 4 goals for his team. It proabably helped that he was the only player on his team that wanted to on the field the whole time. There were times when they only has 2 players because the others were getting too tired. Layton however didi not want to leave the field. they took a water break and I tried to get him to come drink some water but he just wanted to be on the field.
Sydney also had a game simutaneously and so Tyler and I would switch off between games so we could watch them both. Sydney is really improving and has a lot of fun. She's a little more timid than Layton but is really good at running fast and helping out her team and she really is happy to be out there playing. I am so proud of both of them!

Jet Ride and Princess Ball

Last Friday Tyler got an incentive ride in the T-38. It is the jet that the fighter pilots fly while in pilot training before they go off to fly even faster jets like the F-16. He was excited and nervous to go. Aside from throwing up 7 times and feeling sick and for hours after, he said it was an awesome experience. He flew with our pilot friend Rob Shallenberger and had another friend Matt fly another person so they did formation flying I guess it is called. Tlyer said that was really cool to look out the window and see the plane and the people sitting in it right next to you. He said it was amazing how good they are at what they do as they would signal to each other certain moves to make. For which I am grateful so he could come back in one piece. Now if only I could get up in a jet! That evening Tyler and Sydney went to the Princess Ball. It is a Daddy daughter evening out they put on at the local childrens museum. Sydney had the time of her life with Dad. She got to dress up, put on make-up, dance with her Dad all night, and eat good food. After hearing about it all I thought next time I want to go!! Really it was so much fun to see her excitement for this and how happy she was to go on a date with Dad!!

Canton Lake Camping Trip

A little over a week ago we went out on a camp out with our good friends the Crooks and the Shallenbergers. We found a group camp site that was very afforable and secluded. It was right by the lake too which was good and bad. It was fun and beauitful but we had to keep a close eye on the little ones. We all had alot of fun and we all enjoyed being in good company. The babies slept well and so did all the kids once we got them settled down, which took a while. I unfortuanley didn't pull my camera out at the camp but got some cute pics of the kiddos playing at in the water the next day. It was so much fun. But alot of work of packing and unpacking and repacking all the camping supplies. I think next time I would like to go for more than one night.

Sydneys 1st Soccer Game!

Sydney played in her first ever soccer game on Tuesday night and she absolutley loved it!! She just had a ball (hee-hee) out there running around. Tyler and I and the boys had equally as much fun watching her. I loved cheering her on from the sidelines. Tyler joked that I will be the parent that yells at the ref because I am so vocal. I don't think I'll go that far but I have no problem cheering out loud for my little girl and her team mates. It is just a blast watching her have so much and work hard and learn something new. She did such a good job!

Baby Cheeks!!

Yesterday after I bathing Kinsley I let her lay and kick around with no diaper on while I bathed Miss Maddy. I brought Maddy in and lay her nest to Kins and she rolled right over and put her arm around her sister. It was too cute I had to run a grab the camera.


These girls are getting so big. It's hard to beleive they are already 6 months. The both have been rolling aorund like crazy for the past month. Thye will also scoot around just a little to get to object that has sparked their curiosity. They smile lots and giggle for us and talk and do lots of happy squeals. Tyler and I took them to the adult session of stake conference on Saturday and both ended up in the hall with them. They weren't crying, but they were sure making alot of loud happy noises. Sometimes the kids will do something that will get them both laughing and then everyone is laughing. It is so fun to watch them grow and learn new things but it really is going by way too fast! They are such good babies and we just love them both so much!!
