We're having a....
I guess this story starts back in January, Well actually it was December. Actually even a few months before that.I was with Jackson in his room and we were working on getting things cleaned up. We were talking as we did. When he said to me, " Mom a baby boy is coming to our house." Sometimes kids will say things like this, I wont give it much thought. But this caught my attention. There was a feeling in the room and I felt something. He mentioned this a few more times over the next few months.
In December I was stewing over a decision. We were deciding whether we should by a suburban or not. I asked my mom's advice and she said, just pray about it. So I did, I knelt down by my bed that night and asked my Father in Heaven to help me make this decision. I woke up early the next morning, and felt impressed to go read my scriptures. So I did. I do not remember what I read that morning, but I do remember how I felt. I felt impressed that we needed to have another baby. Tyler woke up a little while later and asked if I had gotten my answer. "Well I got A answer, but you aren't going to like what I say." With tears in my eyes,I proceeded to tell him the thoughts of my heart and the feelings I had. He said he didn't know if he could do it. I asked him to pray, and he did. A few weeks later he told me he knew it was what we should do.He is such a good man. I know he had plans and ideas for the future and was worried about how he could make it all work. But he was willing to risk it, to act in faith and do what is right. He's just awesome!
So needless to say we are expecting a baby. We have never kept the secret of having a baby. When we find out we're expecting we are just too excited to share the news. This time, because most everyone expected that we were done having kids, we thought it would be fun to wait and really surprise them.
However I couldn't wait to tell my kids. So after I went to my first Dr. appt I had a few picture from my ultrasound and decided to show them and tell them the news.
I wont ever forget. We will sitting around the kitchen table. I pulled out the ultrasound pictures and asked if they knew what they were. Most of the kids looked and them funny and didn't know what it was. Sydney knew though and said that is a picture of a baby in a mom's baby. I asked, "Do you know who's a baby this is?" and with a huge smile on her face she asked, "Are you having a baby?"
"We are!" I said. Immediately all the kids were jumping up and down with excitement. Their happiness moved Tyler and I to tears as we saw the joy and love our children already had for this new baby.
A few weeks later we went to get an ultrasound. Tyler and I went but told the kids we would have a surprise for them to tell them whether we are having a baby boy or girl.
Here it is. We are having a.....

...Boy!!

Uinta Campout
Towards the end of Summer we took a trip up to the Unitas. Tyler was aching to take the family on a campout, but it just never seemed to work out. We finally decided to just go after Ty got off work, even if we had to set up camp in the dark. It was great we had a simple meal of hotdogs roasted over the fire and just enjoyed the outdoors.
The next morning we took the kids on a hike up to a lake to go fishing. We didn't catch a thing but enjoyed throwing rock in the water and too a short hike around the lake. On our home we stopped at a waterfall and hiked up to that. all in all it was a great trip and so nice to get away and enjoy the beautiful mountains.

Hike up Battleground Falls
After getting back from Pine Creek I decided I don't take my kids out hiking enough. They do hike alot in the back yard, but we decided to go on an adventure. They all did awesome and had lots of fun exploring along the way. I love that Layton brought along some bungee cords and carabeners in case we needed to clip in along the way. :)

Layton's 7th Birthday!!
Everytime a birthday rolls around I wonder how time can fly by so fast!! My sweet little Layton. He is sych an great kid. He is so thoughtful and caring, very considerate of theres. He really is just like his Daddy, in everyway. This past year in school I got several notes form his teacher saying what a great example he is to the class, he is very thoguthful and kind, and she has caught him helping other kids that need a hand. Nothing could make me more happy thanknowing he is making those good choices all on his own.
Of course for his cinco de mayo birthday we had a pinata, and invited his cousins that live nearby to help us celbrate. Tyler and I made a tetherball stand for him, he loves playing that game,a captain america toy, a pocket knife, and shovel. I think he had a great day!!

Birthday with Grandpa!
Can I just say I have the most wonderful parents in the world!!! I don't know of anyone more selfless than them. They constantly doing for others. My dad retired in November and I think he has been the family Nanny. So on his birthday we invited him down for dinner.
They has spent the week babysitting and thought we could give them a break. Although afterwards I thought coming to our house with all our minchkins wasn't much of a break. Maybe it was more of a selfish invite. It was great to be with him and my mom. I LOVE being in their company. I always feel uplifted and enlightened by them.
