Hike up Battleground Falls

After getting back from Pine Creek I decided I don't take my kids out hiking enough. They do hike alot in the back yard, but we decided to go on an adventure. They all did awesome and had lots of fun exploring along the way. I love that Layton brought along some bungee cords and carabeners in case we needed to clip in along the way. :)

Here's the crew right beofer the hike!!

Layton's 7th Birthday!!

Everytime a birthday rolls around I wonder how time can fly by so fast!! My sweet little Layton. He is sych an great kid. He is so thoughtful and caring, very considerate of theres. He really is just like his Daddy, in everyway. This past year in school I got several notes form his teacher saying what a great example he is to the class, he is very thoguthful and kind, and she has caught him helping other kids that need a hand. Nothing could make me more happy thanknowing he is making those good choices all on his own.
Of course for his cinco de mayo birthday we had a pinata, and invited his cousins that live nearby to help us celbrate. Tyler and I made a tetherball stand for him, he loves playing that game,a captain america toy, a pocket knife, and shovel. I think he had a great day!!

Birthday with Grandpa!

Can I just say I have the most wonderful parents in the world!!! I don't know of anyone more selfless than them. They constantly doing for others. My dad retired in November and I think he has been the family Nanny. So on his birthday we invited him down for dinner. They has spent the week babysitting and thought we could give them a break. Although afterwards I thought coming to our house with all our minchkins wasn't much of a break. Maybe it was more of a selfish invite. It was great to be with him and my mom. I LOVE being in their company. I always feel uplifted and enlightened by them.

Spring Break 2012

We spent spring break in Hatch again this year. Except without the snow, which was nice. We left after church on Easter Sunday and went toe Granpa Craig's and Grandmas Terry's. Jeff & Jenny were there, along with Andy & Kaylie. It was so nice to spend some time with them!! We had so much fun. We went on a hike in Bryce Canyon, which was Jenny's first time ever! It was fun to have her and Kylie with us. The kids did awesome. Expecially hiking up all those switch backs. Well most the kids Kinsley was carried the whole way up which I kind of expected but Madison was so determined to do it herself. I carried her up the first part but she did most the switch backs. I was very impressed. Then we went down and played at the sand dunes (Kinsley and AMdison called the Sand Dudes) and had lots of fun running, jumping and sliding down the dunes! Then went to the sand caves (aka color caves) and let the kids layer their bottles with different colored sand. This was ones of my favorite activities. Th caves were amazing and beautiful and all my monkeys loved seeing all the different colors of sand. We of course went on fun 4-wheeler rides, helped Granpa Layton in his garden, got our faces painted with aunt Jenny and aunt Kaylie, had too much good food. It was great! we ended our trip by going over to Cedar and went to the new aquatic center with Jenny, Kylie, Tyson, Kaylie, and Andy. It was so nice and CLEAN!! The kids had a blast!! It was a great trip!!

Happy birthday Jack!

I am so proud of my Jack. He has learned so mcuh this past year as become my best buddy at home while Sydney and Layton are at school. He love to help out with a project, and if you know Tyler and I seem to always have something we're working and I love having my best buddy Jack with me. He has conquered obstacles this year overcoming his need to be perfect in all he does, and realized it's okay to just do your best. Preschool was definitely something that helped out; to see other kids his same age and realize it's okay to color outside the lines, and write your name with some of letters not looking exact, and best of all he is so proud of the the work he has done. He is reading, writing all the letters and numbers, and having fun with it. This mom could not be happier!! I love my Jack!! For Jackson's birthday he requested a trampoline birthday cake and wanted it to look just like ours, and had a few friends over to celebrate with!
