Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkin carving

I love this picture. This is how Jackson has started posing for the camera lately. He puts both arms up and say "cheese".

On Saturday I took the kiddos to the little pumpkin patch in town. It is nothing spectacular by any means but they loved pushing around wheelbarrows and being pushed around in the wheelbarrows and pulled in the wagon, climbing on the haybales and climbing up over a small bridge there. They had lots of fun!
Then for FHE last night we carved pumpkins. Sydney especially loved to stick her hand inside and pull out a hand the handful of slimy seeds and tease her brothers with it. Layton wanted nothing to do with the slimy stuff, and Jackson would stick his hand in and poke at it with his finger but that is as close as it got. It was fun to see all their different reactions. But they all loved telling Dad what kind of eyes, nose, and mouth to carve and watch their pumpkin turn into a Jack'o'lantern. I just love Halloween!! I think there are just so many fun traditions that go on this time of year, and Halloween seems to just kick it all off!!

I love all the pictures! Your kids are so cute! I wish we could get Jackson and Ava together more. They would have so much fun together!

I'm so sorry about your house. What a hard thing to go through. You are amazing to have such a good attitude and get through it!

Halloween is the BEST! I love your little Batman too. I also love how much your kids look like Jensens.

Something else your blog made me ask myself is: can you believe that we're grown up and being parents? It's nuts!

Halloween is so much fun and looking for that perfect pumpkin, only to pop the top and gut it out is the best. At least my boys get a kick out of it. Some much needed fun...
